More opposing voices not fewer...
The first amendment does not exist for the easy speech in agreement of the times, it exists to protect the speech of those that the majority are against.
Whether is was the "rebels" against King George, or "anarchists" of the civil rights battles of the 60s, or the "extremists"or racists of the current times.
All voices should be free.
Our actions should have consequences indeed (violence, crime, etc.), but let all have their say, no matter how "crazy" you may feel it is.
To paraphrease Martin Niemöller, you social shaming, shunning, and worst of all silencing, will eventually lead to the loss of your own voices later after the rest of voices are crushed by you, "then they came for" you, and no one will be no one left to speak for you.
The following is what you are crushing, if you do not let divergent voices continue to be free to speak and share opposing ideas:
More different ideas, not less.
More big ideas, not smaller.
More differing voices, not fewer.
Without the above, "we the free" are lessened, shrunken, and none.
